I'm Toomas Järvpõld, a multidisciplinary designer based in Tartu, Estonia.
Growing up, I have always had a love for art and creativity. I was constantly drawing and painting, and as I grew older, my passion for art and design continued to flourish. I eventually decided to combine my love for design and technology by pursuing a career in graphic design.
I approach design empathetically and focus on understanding the needs and emotions of the people who I am designing for, aiming to create clear, impactful solutions to enrich their lives.
I have worked on projects in UI/UX, identity, motion graphics, print design, and marketing design. I enjoy collaboration, analog and digital experimentation, and learning about new tools and approaches to continue enhancing my design process.
Interests and Hobbies
In addition to design, I have a range of interests that keep me engaged. I enjoy reading contemporary literature, exploring new places when I travel, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, creating music, and listening to podcasts. These diverse pursuits complement my design work, bringing a broader perspective and fueling my creativity.
My conscription service in Estonian Defence Forces as a designer.
At the start of my military service, I underwent basic training. Subsequently, I enrolled in the driver’s course, and after five months, I commenced training and working at the Strategic Communication Centre in Cyber Command as a designer. My responsibilities involved conceptualizing and designing social media posts, print materials, and digital assets. Additionally, I worked on designing issues of Sõdurileht, a newspaper for soldiers in Estonia. I also engaged in post-processing photographs and product imagery.
My specialties
I specialize in creating eye-catching designs for marketing purposes. My expertise lies in designing layouts that are both visually appealing and functional. I also have a talent for creating illustrations that add a unique touch to projects. Above all, I gravitate towards minimal and clean design, focusing on simplicity to make a lasting impact.
